Speed up Order Entry

I just wanted to revive this to get the whole story. So I want to make sure I understand. If i customize a BPM for NewOrderDtl and NewOrderRel to include EntryProcess = "EDI" and that should help with speeding things up?
I'm reviewing some of my notes from Insights and ran across this hidden backdoor hint/tip.
Using a BPM or form customization, you expose OrderHed.OrderStatus and populate it with "EDI". It has nothing to do with actual EDI, but is in Epicor logic to not recalculate everything all the time when it sees this field. They claimed you'd see a huge performance increase by implementing this.
Has anyone implemented and has seen the benefits?

Makes me wonder what other little gems may be out there....

Scott

Look at page 33 in the lab book.. BPM note is at the bottom. Also, if you uncheck "Ready To Process" in Company maintenance-->Modules-->Sales-->Order, that is supposed to speed it up too.

Ah, thanks. My notes were wrong. The fields are OrderDtl.EntryProcess and
OrderRel.EntryProcess.
