I know this is a basic question, but can’t find the answer. I have serial tracking turned on full, and a part# where serial tracking is enabled. It has been assigned to a job, and 32 serial numbers were issued to that job. The job has been in production for a month now, and a non-conformance was just created. It did not prompt for a serial#, and when I closed it out in DMR entry, it still did not prompt for a serial#. Why am I not able to assign Serial#'s? what am I missing?
I am seeking an answer for this as well. My current understanding is that nonconformances will only trigger an S/N requirement if the Serial Number Required for this Operation box is checked on the Job Operation that the Nonconformance is referencing. I’m surprised at this since it is technically an inventory movement (at least at the DMR Disposition).
I am trying to get this working without having to check that box, but I haven’t dedicated time toward it yet.
