First of all can anything else ping the NAS? I'll assume they can.
Have you checked the laptops hosts file? LMHosts?
Do you use wins?
Have you tried a tracert from the laptop to the NAS? Results?
Have you tried any other devices over the wireless?
Have you tried to connect the laptop to the wired network and ping the NAS?
If none of the above lead to any new clues then I would look for a rogue device, unfortunately 192.168.0.x and 192.168.1.x are the default IP subnets used by most hardware.

Subject: [Vantage] OT - Networking issue; can't ping server from different subnet
oooooh IT gods...
I'm wondering if anyone out there might be able to help me with an issue
that I'm having with one server and our plant wireless? I've had both Dell
(server; NX400) and SonicWall (Firewall & Wireless) troubleshooting it, for
about 2 weeks, but they haven't had any luck and are sort of pointing
fingers at each other....
Here's a 'brief' synopsis.
*THE PROBLEM*
- Main wired network is 192.168.0.x, DHCP through the SonicWall
- Wireless network is 192.168.2.x, DHCP through the SonicWall
- Laptop connected to the wireless network (192.168.2.106), can ping
4 out of 5 servers on the wired network. Cannot ping our NAS
(192.168.0.250), running Windows Storage Server 2008 R2. One of
the other
server is also running 2008 R2, which is pingable.
- NAS can ping the Laptop
*WHAT WE HAVE TRIED*
- Turned off the Windows Firewall
- Uninstalled the A/V software
- Turned off the teamed NIC
- Booted in Safe Mode with Networking
- SonicWall double checked settings, check and the laptop is sending
out requests, but NSA isn't responding.
- Installed wireshark on NSA, can't see any traffic/ping requests
from laptop.
Any thoughts, ideas, pointers, questions, etc. would be wonderful!
Frustrated IT guy....
