Open\Close Order

Ship Complete check box on the Pack Slip will close a line. If the pack
slips were entered the same day, I don't know if the system would
recognize it to automatically check the box on the second pack slip. If
this is the last shipment on the sales order, then triggering the line
to close will also flag the sales order to close also.

Thanks~

Hello,

When we have a Sales Order for 4 pcs and we shipped them in two Packing
Slips (2 pcs - one PS and 2 pcs - another PS) after that system shows
that Line for that Sales Order is still open.

We are in Vantage 803.407A

Thank you.

Bart.

Does that happen consistently for you? On occasion....I've seen that
all along (from 803 to 807) but it's been infrequent enough not to
warrant spending too much time on it (for us). I just presumed that for
some reason a trigger in the database failed.

Oh yes. I spent a long time on this one.
Â
Check to see if your Shipping person created two Customer Packing Slips and forgot to delete one. That solved my issue.
Â
What happens is that Shipping person is used to shipping orders in one box or the split them due to size and weight. When you tell a Shipping person to put 4 parts in 2 boxes, even though all parts will fit on one box, they create shipper, look at the order when they are done, roll there eyes and say some exploritive and create a new Customer Shipper with out deleting the old one.
