Off topic DSL / high speed internet acess and SBS 4.5

I assume your SBS is on a different port on a hub or switch. No need for a
proxy if you have a good firewall, but then nothing can stop a dedicated
person. And if you don't need or want to control access to the modem from
the inside, you should just connect the modem to your LAN, again if you're
confident your firewall can handle your security needs....

I am trying to setup a new MMDS connection on my SBS 4.5 server. The
WorldCom install guide suggest plugging the modem LAN port right into an
open port on my Hub. Microsoft recommends plugging the modem into a 2nd NIC
card and utilizing Proxy Servers security features. I am installing a 3Com
firewall in front of the modem is Proxy even necessary? Do I need the 2nd
NIC card? This stuff is all pretty much greek to me any help would be
appreciated.

Thanks
