[Off Topic] Cable modems / Home networking

I have had success with the D-Link 713P wireless router which includes a 3
node hub, print server, a port for the cable modem ethernet connection and
the wireless access point. I have used it successfully with an Atlanta
Scientific Cable Modem and 2 nodes connected via Linksys Wireless cards.
The D-Link unit does require a separate cable modem. The only problem I
have had is with the cable provider not official supporting this
configuration so whenever the cable internet access stops working I have to
convince them that I can give them all the same information. In addition
out HP722C printer does not support printer server connections, and indeed
it does not work with the print server - you should check you printer
documentation.

Here is a link to a product that I love. This thing is so easy to configure
and you can't beat the price. Also in testing the D-Link wireless access
point scored almost as high as Cisco's stuff and it was way cheaper.

I'm using the linksys wireless with built-in 4 port switch. Works wonders.
Fully configureable or just about ready to use right out of the box.....Use
infrastructure until you get used to WEP.
