Doubtful. I’ve successfully done it in both 2021.2.10 and 2023.1.6 using both TransView and OrderDtl per Scott’s scenario.
@datadaddy for debugging’s sake–if, in your onBlur event, you just put a message widget with {OrderDtl.XPartNum} as the message, does it show undefined or the XPartNum?
Works for me too. If it was me, I would hope it was just one of those glitches from having the editor open too long. Close it all, launch a fresh Application Studio and try again. That has gotten me too many times. And when that works, it’s a different kind of frustration since you can’t replicate it.

It clearly states (and demo’s) in Application Studio that you can, but I cannot

That one for me depends on whether I’m on an RDP or not. If I am, does not work on any browser. On my computer works on both of those. Haven’t looked into it as deeply to see what is stopping it. Could be the remote OS or just that it’s in a remote desktop.

Ugh, but if I RDP from my RDP, then CTRL+ALT+L works for me on my Dev and Prod environment, but not my Test one. Initial RDP doesn’t work anywhere. On local computer that works on all browsers. Same version on all, same screen on all. Guess you have to get all the stars to align just right
Copy/Paste still never worked for me anywhere for events
Basically your original post is supposed to work, keyboard shortcuts are supposed to work, and event copy/paste is supposed to work.
