Client got some new machines and getting odd random errors only on those new machines. Quitting, and restarting client works again for a while and then random errors:
Errors such as “Key not found” “Parameter name key”
I’m not a big fan or Windows 10 but haven’t had too many issues running V8.
A few things I might start with to try and resolve instability in Win 7, 8 or 10.
V8 client shortcut properties - Compatibility sheet
- run in compatibility mode WinXP SP 3
- disable themes
- run this program as administrator
Windows - turn off unneeded applications & services, disable themes, set screen save to blank screen, etc…
AntiVirus - make sure you’ve excluded the V8 Client directory
Errors such as “Key not found” “Parameter name key”
And when I see these, I get in the habit of regularly clearing the cache folder(s)
- which unfortunately is still a manual process in V8
Go to the folder c:\programdata\epicor\ and delete any subfolders like 8.03.409c, etc… - c:\programdata\epicor\8.03.409C
- c:\programdata\epicor\8.03.410
These are some places to start at least, even if you end up having to do something else.

Hello Mark,
Were you able to find a solution for this issue?
Sorry,
It’s been so long, I don’t recall
