My first programming class (RPG II) used punch cards! And my FORTRAN teacher thought the class should use punch cards at least once…go figure! I’m just glad my COBOL teacher didn’t want to do that LOL!!
My first job I programmed on a TRS80 with an 8" floppy in the main box and three 8" floppys in the auxiliary bay. WOW…brings back memories!!
Our high school had an HP computer that used the pencil marked “punch cards” That was for the “programming” part of our math classes. The real computer lab had Commodore PETs
