The only way I got it to match real life is assigning the subassembly for 2nd operations in the main assembly. In our case the subassemblies are started a the same time as the main assembly and running not even on the same resource/operator. Looks correct on scheduling boards and also the timing is correct as it is in standard work.
I don’t know if you solved this but always check for queue times on your resources in combination with ‘Use shop calendar for queue time’ setting.
