Filtering PO Suggestions with Different Sites and Buyers

We are a 1 Company, 2 Site system. 1 Part can be bought at both sites, but only 1 buyer can see the suggestion due to the Part Class Setup. I know I can add another authorized buyer to my account so the other buyer can see my suggestions, but the other buyer does not need to see all my suggestions. I could also make a Quick Search default to the site, but is there another way to add a primary buyer per site on a part class for easier Part Suggestion information?

See also if Buyer B is not a authorized buyer for Buyer A. Also, look under authorized buyer and select default. Not sure if it will work.

Not to my knowledge if you could add anyone as primary buyer. But if you want you can create a new field and then do a DMT to update with primary buyer for all parts. Then you need to do a customization to add that field under “Buyer” and then assign there as a Primary Buyer.

Hi Brandon,

I agree the only standard way to deal with this would be what Rhythem states, buyer assignment on all partplant records. DMT helps, but it sure feels like overkill. IDK why Epicor doesn’t make it easier to assign buyer to a plant or to suppliers, etc. It’s part class or every darn part plant record it seems. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

Perhaps a bpm would work on Method Directive POSugg.Update and/or Data Directive SugPODtl to change the buyer when it’s another plant. There’s likely some instructions on “fixing” the PO suggestions via bpm in this help already.
