Thanks.
Our VAR yesterday told us Dec-Jan.

At Perspectives they were not very definite at all except to say they had 20 or so beta sites and wanted the four sites running it live to have a couple months under their belt. It sounded there like this would be around year-end. Frankly, IMHO, they can wait until May for general release if it means it is really really stable. Even if we were inclined to go to it that soon it would be a matter of it being released this year and waiting for it to be stable or released stable later. In the end it's the same timing but maybe less frustration to wait. Then again they need live testers to get it stable someday...so hats off to all the early adopters!

I agree. I would have them wait until they believe it is stable instead of
pushing it out just to get it out.

We are a Track I Beta customer but are planning to convert at a time that is
more convenient for us (end of December). There are the four companies who
are blazing the trail who may very well be live by December and I believe
that the version they start on becomes the GA version. While recently
working with people in support, I have even heard them say, "That's fixed on
the GA DVD", which makes it sound like they're on track to release soon
because there is no Service Pack scheduled between then and now. I'm SURE
there's going to be some bumps along the way and hopefully the Beta folks
are catching as much as possible. After all, EVERY new release comes with a
Service Pack and even a Patch after that.

Does anyone have the changes between version 8 & 9. Did anyone beta
test 9 did you like it?

Thanks!

There was a pre-release document somewhere back in August and I'm fairly
sure that was NDA but I never checked what made it and what didn't. Epicor
was showing a version of E9 at Perspectives so I don't think any of the
current feature set are any secret since the product has been exposed to the
users - unless there is a Perspectives NDA...

I may regret doing this, but if anyone has things that you'd like me to
test, send me a private note: mark_wonsil@.... It may make the Beta
testing more effective. We're not multi-company and don't have all of the
modules but I can try what I can.

Do you have any product literature
<http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&newwindow=1&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&c
t=result&cd=1&q=product+literature&spell=1> about ver 9?
