Epicor 9 packing slips messages

We put a flag on our customer (checkbox01) and modified the packslip when customer.checkbox01 = true – it prints the C of C at the bottom of the packslip with a line for a quality signature.

Kathy some customers want material certs. or manufacturing certs but it could be anything special a customer wants done with their shipment.

Is there anyway to put a message on a packing slip, such as must include certifications. So we ship to each customer what they need with their shipment.

You can hard code a standardized message into the packing slip report. Our you can add a custom packing slip comment on each SO using the packing slip tab.

We handle this with a couple of checkboxes on the customer master.

1st one is C of C required. This puts a note on the packing slip to include the CofC.

2nd one is special packing instruction. this prompts the packer to lookup the special instructions for that customer.

 

As I think about this if I added the special instruction number to the customer, then I could make a link on the pack out screen to bring up the web page of instructions.
