I would like to turn off the "Is this Packing slip ready to Ship" confirmation box that opens after printing a packing slip. I have a custom form and have disabled the "shipped" checkbox on it, but after they print, this confirmation box still opens and if they click "yes" it still marks the packing slip "shipped". Does anybody know if there is a way I can disable that confirmation box from opening? Or if not - is there any way if they did click yes it can reverse what the 'Yes' does?

Thanks!

Sarah

BPM should take care of this, its generally an out parameter on a BPM call. Do a trace find out which BO Method is doing it and remove the text from the out var. IN Post Proc.

Jose,

  This sounds very interesting.  I have been trying to find a way to stop Sales Order Entry from asking me if this order is ready to process every time I am leave the Sales Order entry form or simply trying to load another sales order.  Would a BPM work on something like this?  I ran a trace and did not see anything but GetByID.  I asked Epicor and they wanted a large sum of money to turn it off.

yes this would work for sales order too.

What version of Epicor are you on?

I agree - that question contantly asking if the order is ready to process is so annoying so we just set-up our system to have them all default to yes (in the company config). That checkbox does nothing for us so doesn't hurt to have it yes - but we should be able to turn these confirmation boxes off!

Hehe you said Epicor wanted a LARGE Sum of Money?.... lovely...
All I ask is that you have your company donate 100 bucks to a charity of your choice.

Customize the Packing Slip Print FormÂ
Set an Event On Form Closing and this code below will do it

private void PackingSlipPrintForm_Closing(object sender, System.ComponentModel.CancelEventArgs args)
{
// Add Event Handler Code
FieldInfo fi = oTrans.GetType().GetField("ReportPrinted", BindingFlags.NonPublic | BindingFlags.Instance);
fi.SetValue(oTrans, false);
}
Then use process calling maintenance to ensure that the Print Screen gets called with the Customization attached. Just tested it and worked like a charm.

To the best of my knowledge, the Shipped Box being checked is what makes the shipment available for the Get Shipments function in invoicing.  Wouldn’t this cause problems for accounting?

Yes, we just do not want the people initially creating the packing slips to be able to mark them as shipped. Our shipper will mark them shipped once they actually ship and then the invoices will get pulled. The message box popping up every time we print would overrule any customization field restrictions.
