Customers using AWS to host E10

Interested if we have any customer out there using AWS and how that is working for them. I have a large customer who is exploring this option.

That’s what we have and it works well. I can’t give much information about it, since I’m not the one that works with AWS, but we use it a lot to setup a server for use with a specific set of data, then shut it down and shut it down when done. Sometimes an inactive server will be deleted if it’s been there long enough. (like ones setup under an older version of Epicor).

Tahnks Marjorie, can you contact me at dkros@epicor.com when you have time, thanks!

The company is now closed, but I was implementing 10.1 on AWS a few years back. It worked great and there was no real noticeable difference. We were on AWS because if we started getting ITAR orders again, we could jump up to the government cloud on AWS pretty easily.

Since 2016, both Azure and AWS are good with ITAR.

Usually, you can save money with AWS. If you’re a big Azure Active Directory user then the integration with your security might be better with Azure. (MFA, etc…)
