Customer Required Shipping Documents

Rick, yes I was afraid that was the answer. I suspect a solution will require a BPM or Form-Side Code to enact. thanks for the reply!

What I would try to do, is attach the instructions to the part in Part Maint. and then have a BPM on the Pack for it's closed or marked shipped to look up the file path and with .NET execute a print command? No idea how to do this, but that would be my first swing at it.

Keith,
If you enable the Ship Doc Required on the Part or on a Job (for make direct), the pack slip cannot be marked shipped until an attachment is made to the Pack slip of a Doc Type that has 'Shipment' enabled.
We use this for Quality documents that the Customer requires... a COA for example.

Auto print the instructions on shipment? You might be able to do it with .NET code in a BPM, but not with this functionality. What I would try to do, is attach the instructions to the part in Part Maint. and then have a BPM on the Pack for it's closed or marked shipped to look up the file path and with .NET execute a print command? Does that help?
