Creating Field Help Text For User Defined Fields

Thanks Jose,

I modified the extended properties and the description shows up fine in the technical details, but in the field help i am seeing the generic message:

The field definition you want is not yet linked to the Field Help window. However, it is still available!
To view the definition, press the F1 key and browse to the "Field" topic.

How do I modify the properties in Epicor so that my text also shows up in the top part of the field help since most of the users will not click on the technical details to see the information.

Thanks,

Anton

Sorry if this has been answered already..

Is there a way in the Epicor client to enter field help text for any used user defined fields (character01, character02, etc.). I entered the extended properties for the fields (the text shows up in the technical details), but couldn't find a place to enter field help.

I didn't see the help stored in any tables. Is it being stored in a separate XML file.

This text would really help our end users when navigating through the forms.

Thanks,

Anton
