Can I "unship" a packing slip entry on Customer Shipment Entry -

Good advice given by others but I am wondering if in the shipped state you actually had a parttran record created.
StK-CUS for a stock part shipment or MFG-CUS for a make direct job shipment.
We've had this occur randomly for years (so randomly Support can't recreate & server logs indicate no error... Just doesn't fully process <1% of the time).
Also the orderrelease doesn't close and if make direct, jobprod & jobpart fail to have qtyshipped updated.

May be totally unrelated to your issue but I thought it was worth passing on.

Sometimes you need to Stage it, then Unstage it and that will change its status to Closed.

 

In Shipment Entry enter “test” in the Stage field.  Go to Actions and click Stage.  Then there is a Stage Ship Confirm Entry (?) where you search for Staged Packs and go to Actions to Unstage it.

 

I am on E9 and cannot remember the exact name of the Stage Ship Confirm Entry, that is E9’s name.

Wow, we just had this happen to us today.  We are on 8.03.408a Progress using Insite Manifest.  We had to do what Scott said, Stage it and then unstage it.  If you are using Insite, you need to do this from a workstation that IS NOT a pack station.

In our case, the packID had a line on it linked to a job that didn't exist.  Not sure how that happened, but it did.  It was marked as freighted but the shipped checkbox was unchecked and we couldn't change it.
