In the end, you should really just try it out and see what gives you the best performance.

I do a lot of trial and error. Most of the time Epicor is so forgiving that I don’t have to care about performance. But now I am working on a BAQ that constantly times-out past 90 seconds. Every change I make has a dramatic effect. So, I am trying to find the absolute best layout for these tables.

I am linking UD07 with a subquery that contains a job number. Key1 has that job number.

And Company… Left to right on the index, remember?

However, I seem to recall that if you don’t use Key2-5, if you specify ‘’ in the links (or in the WHERE clause maybe ), you may see a performance improvement.
