Does it have to be on the Dashboard, could you use Epicors new BAQRpt Feature, Electronic Compliance instead. The user would then scan the Job # on a mini form and it would execute a BAQ and that BAQ can write to a path?
The Electronic Interface (EI) stuff was a “tool” we had on the shelf for running custom code. We needed that in the “Multiple BAQ” reports to be able to support everything from calculated columns to stuff that could radically change how the report worked.
Another place that people probably don’t know even exists is Electronic Compliance. This area is much more general purpose than the name implies. Basically, this will let you take the output of an RDD and create an XML, JSON or CSV file.
Both…
It’s been a while since I worked on reporting so most of those neurons have died. Maybe I’m misunderstanding, but I’m pretty sure you can use the user supplied values from the report UI to filter your BAQs. I know I tested passing an Order Number and having it only return the appropriate orders in the main and child BAQs.
