In the engineering folder there is Costing Workbench. I would like to auto-populate the Group ID with current date-time any time that a new Group is created. Is that possible, to trigger something when the New button is pressed? I couldn’t figure out a way to do this in BPM because at the point where the record is new, nothing has been created in the database yet so I don’t know how to trigger it.
Yep. BPM should work great. Post-Processing on GetNewECOGroup (name may be different).
Bingo! There are so many options in there, I never would have found that. When doing BPM’s I have always used Update. Thank you.
For anyone reading this, his method is correct but the name is GetNewCostGrp and not GetNewECOGroup
